An Opportunity Down the Drain

I was listening to the radio on the way to work this afternoon and I heard a story about a woman counselor who was fired for not taking on a woman who was struggling in a same sex relationship. The full story is here.

The controversy is starting to boil.

My thoughts on the matter went something like this. Wow, this woman really missed an opportunity to be a witness and show the love of Jesus to this person she refused to counsel.

Jesus came to save the world not, to condemn it.
What would have happened if Jesus had turned the woman at the well away?

There are so many verses in the Bible to back up your thinking, but, I will just say "Love the sinner, hate the sin".

I would never pass up the opportunity to minister, in love, to anyone. Ane I am a counselor.

This has nothing to do with being or nor being a Christian. It has to do with taking government money and then discriminating against a lesbian woman. If Christians want to counsel only Christians, they can. But not with government money. The counselor
deserved to be fired. And what's more, who's to say the lesbian wasn't a Christian?
